Welcome
My goal is to provide you with a courteous, expedient and professional service. I
will meet the highest standards in accordance with the British Standards relating
to the Requirements for Electrical Installations and certify applicable work
completed with building control. You will receive a certificate where applicable
and have a record that you have met all the wiring regulations and legislation.
For your complete peace of mind and quality assurance my work is backed by
membership of NAPIT, as an approved Part P operator and my company carries
full Iiability and indemnity insurance. I personally guarantee my work for twelve
months from completion; should there occur an issue relating to workmanship I
would be most eager to apply the appropriate remedial action.
You can find out more about the Wiring Regulations, Part P and the scope of our
insurance in the Start Here and Legal sections of this site.
The Pricing Policy
Yes there are still some cowboys out there out to get more than they are worth
but most electrical workers nowadays are well trained and charge a fair price. It
is your task to look at who’s available and decide on the best deal for you, which
these days is often the best price from the face you most trust.
Electrical workers require much more technical training than most other trades
and for this reason command the highest rates so quotes for work can vary
widely between competition and it pays to look around.
Our pricing is the cost of materials plus transport plus labour plus VAT, that’s
about it, and this often means a very reasonable price. As far as is possible
these items are fully accounted for on your invoice.
Let say a lighting issue requires an hour to fix and a new lamp pendant has to be
fited, the basic formula might be:
Cost of lamp pendant
£ 4.00
Petrol to job
£ 5.00
One hour rate
£40.00 (Depends of course)
VAT @ 20%
£ 9.80
Total due £58.80
The aim is value for money and that you feel you have paid a fair price.
You can find out more about pricing and the forms we use in the Invoices section
of this site.
Method of payment
Cash is always good and a cheque equally so. If you have a Paypal account the
amount can be transferred to our account easily enough. Credit and Debit Card
payments can be made through Paypal in two ways, either from your own
account or from the Payment section of this site. A Donation button is provided
on this site to facilitate random amounts; for example you wish to make a card
payment online but do not have a Paypal account.
You can find out more about payments in the Payment section of this site.
Please feel free to contact us without obligation for reliable, professional advice
and service.

I would love to tell you that I am
available 24 hours a day and will
be with you in ten minutes, but the
reality is that I need to sleep and if
I don’t answer my mobile I could
even be working at another job.
So I do advise that if you cannot
get through to me in an emergency
please leave a message and if I
don’t get back to you within five
minutes then please search for a
competent person. Start searching
by clicking on the logo below.
As an indication of price, some will
charge £90 per hour exclusive of
VAT, some around £40-60 for the
first hour then £20-30 for each hour
after that and 50p per mile. Always
estimate what you expect to pay in
hourly rates and add VAT at 20%
so you know what your final bill will
likely come to.
